Cheese Breadsticks

These easy cheesy breadsticks are so good! The dough is simple – no stand mixer needed. And that garlicky cheesy topping is amazing!

Nothing beats cheese + carbs, and these glorious garlicky, cheesy breadsticks are no exception.

They’re dangerously simple to make, and dunked in a vat of marinara sauce, they are irresistible.

what you need :

  • Pizza Dough: Use homemade or store bought. This recipe calls for 1 pound of dough.
  • Butter
  • Garlic Powder, Oregano, Basil: You could also substitute Italian seasoning for the oregano and basil if you prefer.
  • Salt: Just a little bit… me it adds so much flavor. If you are using salted butter you can omit this. I don’t buy salted butter because I like to control the amount of salt I add to food.
  • Cheese: I am using mozzarella and parmesan. But feel free to use any great melting cheese.

  • 1 pound (550g) pizza dough (homemade or store bought)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • cup (40g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, optional

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet, pizza stone or pizza pan, set aside.

  2. Roll or stretch the dough into a 12×10″ rectangle. (Don’t worry about this being perfect)

  3. Combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush over the shaped dough. Top with cheeses, herbs, and salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted.

  4. Slice into breadsticks and serve with pizza sauce if desired.
